La violoniste d'origine chinoise Yibin Li joue du violon depuis l'âge de 5 ans. Sa carrière est le produit d'une vie musicale. Elle est apparue aux États-Unis, en Europe, au Canada et au Japon, et a joué comme soliste avec des orchestres de renom en Chine, à Taiwan et à Hong Kong. En plus de la performance, Li est un éducateur passionné, enseignant le violon et la théorie musicale dans des institutions aux États-Unis et en Chine.
En tant que soliste, Mme Li a joué en Chine avec l'Orchestre symphonique national de Beijing, l'Orchestre symphonique de Shanghai et l'Orchestre symphonique de Taiwan. Aux États-Unis, elle a joué en solo avec San Diego Grossmont Symphony et avec Hunter Symphony à New York. Elle joue également de la musique de chambre avec des groupes à New York, en Chine et en Europe.
LI fait partie de la faculté de violon de la Mannes School of Music, de la nouvelle école, du pré-collège de la Juilliard School et du professeur invité du Conservatoire de musique de Xi'an et de l'Université centrale d'études normales de Beijing. Elle a fait partie du corps professoral du Bowdoin International Music Festival, du Portland Bach Virtuosi Festival et a été membre fondatrice du premier Festival de musique international de Xi'an Bowdoin. Chinese-born violinist Yibin Li has been playing violin since she was 5 years old -- her career is the product of a life in music. She has appeared in the United States, Europe, Canada, and Japan, and performed as a soloist with renowned orchestras in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. In addition to performance, Li is a passionate educator, teaching violin and music theory at institutions in the US and China.
As a soloist, Ms. Li has performed in China with the Beijing National Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, and Taiwan Symphony Orchestra. In the United States, she has had solo performances with San Diego Grossmont Symphony and with Hunter Symphony in New York City. She also performs chamber music with groups in New York City, China and Europe.
Li is on the violin faculty at Mannes School of Music The New School, The Juilliard School Pre-College, and a visiting professor at both Xi'an Conservatory of Music and Beijing Central University for Normal Studies. She has been on the faculty of the Bowdoin International Music Festival, the Portland Bach Virtuosi Festival, and was a founding faculty member of the first Xi'an Bowdoin International Music Festival. During her residency at Xi'an Conservatory in 2011, she gave several master classes, ran workshops, and played recitals.
