Su ZHEN
Altiste, elle a été admise au département de Musique d’orchestre du CCOM, où elle a été l’élève du Professeur Wang Zhenshan. Après sa licence, et en raison de ses prestations exceptionnelles, elle a été nommée au poste d’Alto solo -assistante au sein de l’orchestre symphonique national de Chine, alors qu’elle n’avait que 23 ans.
En 1996, Su Zhen a obtenu une bourse plénière pour étudier à la Royal Académy of Music de Londres, où elle a poursuivi des études de Master dans la classe du distingué professeur John White. Elle a reçu une majorité des distinctions attribuées pour son instrument à l’Académie Royale de Musique de Londres et a été lauréate en 1997 du concours international d’Alto « Lionel Tertis »
De 2000 à 2004, Su Zhen a occupé le poste d’alto solo-assistante de l’orchestre philarmonique de la BBC. Elle a aussi donné, comme alto solo et membre des ensembleS de musique de chambre, des concerts en tant que soliste et membre d’ensemble dans le monde entier, notamment au Festival internationaux d’Edinbour et de Genève, au Festival international des Arts à ToKyo et au Festival international de l’alto au Royaume Uni.
En 2004 on a demandé à Su Zhen de revenir au CCOM à Pékin pour devenir le plus jeune professeur titulaire de la chaire d’Alto.
En 2006, Su Zhen a reçu du Ministère chinois de l’éducation, la récompense de professeur d’exception auprès des jeunes (Huo Yingdong).
Elle a reçu de nombreuses invitations à donner des classes de Maître au niveau international, notamment en Corée, au Festival international de musique des « Great Mountains », et au Festival international de musique de la « Grande muraille » à Pékin, et à l’académie autrichienne de musique.
Su Zhen
is a viola player who began her illustrious career when she was admitted to the Orchestral Music Department of the CCOM as a student of Professor Wang Zhenshan. After her university degree, and because of her exceptional performances, she was appointed to the position of Alto Solo-Assistant in the National Symphony Orchestra of China when she was only 23 years old.
In 1996, Su Zhen received a full scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she pursued a Master's degree under the distinguished professor John White. She received a majority of the awards for her instrument at the Royal Academy of Music in London and was awarded in 1997 the international competition of Alto "Lionel Tertis".
From 2000 to 2004, Su Zhen was Principal Viola Soloist with the BBC Philarmonic Orchestra. She has also performed concerts as a solo alto and member of chamber ensembles throughout the world, notably at both the Edinburgh and Geneva International Festivals as well as the International Arts Festivals in London, Tokyo and the International Viola Festival in the United Kingdom.
In 2004 Su Zhen was asked to return to the CCOM in Beijing to become the youngest tenured Professor of the Alto Chair.
In 2006, Su Zhen received the award of outstanding teacher to youth (Huo Yingdong) from the Chinese Ministry of Education.
She has received many invitations to give Master classes at the international level, including in Korea, the Great Mountains International Music Festival, and at the Great Wall International Music Festival in Beijing as well as the Austrian Academy of Music.
